Many of these updates are due to Seattle voters voting for Prop 1 in November 2014. You may have received a postcard from the Seattle Transit Benefit District (STBD) regarding the new services; STBD is a funding partner in this effort and they want to make voters aware of results. Part of this service change means a reorganization of Metro’s Night Owl service. In the past, the routes 82, 83, and 84 looped around the city in the middle of the night. Now, those routes will be discontinued in favor of extending several all-day routes later into the night. Fremont routes being extended are the 5, 44, and Rapid Ride E.
