SLU: At the FNC meeting in April, Sound Transit held a very informative session on adding a new South Lake Union station option to the Draft EIS for the Ballard Link Extension. According to the Seattle Times and other local news outlets, the ST Board failed to vote on adding this option at their meeting last week, meaning that the preferred option remains the station at 7th and Harrison, next to Aurora and convenient to E-Line transfers. Some of the reasons against approving adding the new option were given as the addition of 10 months to the schedule and $500 million in additional costs.

Rte 40: After feedback from Fremont businesses and others, SDOT has decided to move the Rte 40 bus stop from the corner of Fremont Ave and Fremont Place N west to the Lenin Statue plaza. They are studying the adjustment of other stops in relation to this move.
