Your Fremont Neighborhood Council Board has been working hard during this year of the pandemic to meet virtually both for regular monthly board meetings and for planning meetings to keep this voice of the Fremont neighborhood vital and vibrant. We are now planning the Annual Meeting for all membership, which will take place in virtual space on April 26, 7-8:30 pm. We’re delighted to announce that Representative Nicole Macri will keynote our Annual Meeting this year.

Over the past months and even earlier, FNC programming has focused on services that support unhoused neighbors, on community safety, and on promoting racial equity. We’ve specifically asked Rep. Macri to talk about state-level initiatives to address the housing crisis and support people and businesses in need, especially during this second year in a pandemic. We emphasized her work in the state legislature on housing, homelessness and other issues related to concerns we’ve heard from Fremonsters,

In particular, we asked to hear about the fate of her bills, the effect of those that passed, and what she opposed and why. There will be an opportunity for moderated audience Q&A.

Save the date: April 26, 7-8:30 pm

At the Annual Meeting, we also elect new FNC Board members and officers and report to you on our other work during the year including informing Fremont about major projects such as the tunneling and siphons on the Ship Canal, about support for arts and murals in Fremont, and on pedestrian, bicycle and public safety.

Join FNC now, and come to the April 26 meeting to help make Fremont even better. https://fremontneighborhoodcouncil.org/get-involved/join-us/
