On the first Tuesday evening in August every year, Seattle allows neighborhood street closures for Seattle Night Out parties. Hold one, or attend one, and meet your neighbors. Many of these parties are potlucks, so bring a salad or a casserole and plan to stay for conversation. Some parties are registered, so you can find them here: http://www.seattle.gov/spd/Nightout/nightoutevents.htm Seattle’s Department of Neighborhoods offered Small Sparks grants this year to support party activities, such as music and refreshments. Find a party near you, or host one. And enjoy!
