King County Councilmember Larry Phillips, Chair of the Metropolitan King Council, representing District 4 including Fremont, will
speak to the Fremont Neighborhood Council on Monday, March 24, 2014, 7-8:30pm at Doric Temple, 619 N. 36th S. Phillips serves on the County’s Transportation Committee and the Sound Transit Board; he is expected to discuss Metro’s plan to avoid a 17% cut in service by asking voters to approve a new car tab fee and small increase in sales tax.
Also on the March 24 agenda are an update about pedestrian safety at Stone Way N and N 41st Street in East Fremont, a presentation by Lisa Quinn, Executive Director of Feet First, and a presentation by the Coalition for an Affordable and Livable Seattle which is suggesting recommendations for dealing with growth and development in the city.
