Next Saturday, December 7th!
The Church is older, but the current building dates to 1924. Information follows below.
From Valarie Bunn: “The Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, founded in 1888, attracted dynamic settlers who started businesses, a school and other organizations such as churches. The Fremont Baptist Church was founded in 1892 and outgrew several meeting locations. Finally in 1924 the present church building was constructed.
Next Saturday, December 7, 2024, everyone is invited to the Hundredth Anniversary Celebration at Fremont Baptist Church, 717 North 36th Street, from 3 to 5 PM. The “price of admission” is a donation to the food bank (bring a canned item like soup or dry item like boxed pasta). Historic photos will be on display, and tours will be given of behind-the-scenes areas such as the pipe organ.
