King County sends the following update on the Fremont Siphon Replacement Project. Work on the Fremont site will not disrupt service. Scroll down for details on construction schedules. Truck traffic near site will increase.

King County’s contractor for the Fremont Siphon Replacement Project continues work to prepare the project sites. Crews finished demolition of the Praxair building on the Fremont project site and removed trees from both project sites.

What’s ahead?  Queen Anne site: Site preparation Crews will continue preparing the Queen Anne site for construction. The site will be fenced off. Erosion control and construction entrances will be installed.  Fremont site: Utility investigations Crews will dig small holes and remove dirt to determine the location of utility lines around the work area. This work will not disrupt service to neighbors. You may hear the equipment or see crews working around the site.

  • Work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays (if needed)
  • Increased noise and activity at and around work sites
  • More trucks on roads near sites
