Two FNC board members, Toby Thaler and Pete Hornyack, serve on the city’s HALA’s Focus Group, and will meet next Thursday, October 27th. Meanwhile, they share some information about maps the city is considering. Toby writes, “You can see all available maps and down load as (very large) pdf files here: https://hala.consider.it/ Pete adds, “The Wallingford urban village map makes it easier to see what’s proposed for “East Fremont.” You can find the pdf on the HALA site that Toby linked to, or here’s a direct link: https://www.seattle.gov/Documents/Departments/HALA/Consider%20it/MHA%20draft%20zoning%20changes/MHA_draft_zoning_changes_Wallingford.pdf
And, for more information, Pete sends these:
- Link to draft of zoning changes for Fremont urban village: https://www.seattle.gov/Documents/Departments/HALA/Consider%20it/MHA%20draft%20zoning%20changes/MHA_draft_zoning_changes_Fremont.pdf
- Link to draft of zoning changes for Wallingford urban village, which includes “East Fremont”: https://www.seattle.gov/Documents/Departments/HALA/Consider%20it/MHA%20draft%20zoning%20changes/MHA_draft_zoning_changes_Wallingford.pdf
- To help read those maps (from the HALA website): “Each zone is labeled with the name of today’s existing zone (*before the “|”) and the proposed new MHA zone (after the “|”).”
- Link to the city’s Development Examples, which explain what each of the zones means and what buildings in those zones might look like: http://www.seattle.gov/hala/focus-groups#MHA%20Development%20Examples
