New proposal for dealing with encampments under discussion at City Council

As the City Council and Mayor work on the budget, proposals are being advanced to address issues made dramatically more important by the events of 2020. So, for example, Councilmember Lewis is proposing a fully civilian replacement for the Navigation Team that formerly worked with those living in encampments to try to get them housed.
