Starting this month, the N 41st Ave pedestrian bridge over Aurora, which was built in 1936, will begin construction for a seismic retrofit. This will at times create significant detours both for crossing Aurora and for traveling on Aurora under the bridge, by any mode (car, bus, bike, pedestrian). Known locally as the Education Bridge, this structure has the important job of safely transporting kids and bike walking back and forth to Day, Hamilton and Lincoln schools. Drivers will need to be extra careful and watch out for an increase in travelers on N 39th St. Keep up to date on detours so that you can plan your route accordingly.
