Meeting Minutes – October 2012

Fremont Neighborhood Council Meeting – October 22, 2012

 

A candidate and issue forum was held in anticipation of the November 6^th election.  Linda Clifton opened the forum and welcomed those in attendance.

 

Speakers:

 

State House of Representatives 43^rd District, Position 2:

 

• Frank Chopp, candidate who prefers the Democratic Party
• Kshama Sawant, candidate who prefers the Socialist Alterative Party.

 

Referendum 74 (Marriage Issue): 

 

• Sally Clark, representing Washington United for Marriage, in favor
• Chip White, representing Preserve Marriage Washington, opposed

 

 

Toby Thaler served as the moderator: asking questions of the speakers and receiving questions from the audience.

 

There were approximately 67 people who attended.

 

There was no business meeting.

 

The next meeting will be November 26, 2012.
