FEBRUARY 9, 10 am to 12 pm– Feet First Seattle Stairway Walks includes Fremont in one of its 15 walks around the region: http://feetfirst.org/act/stairway-walks.  The free, guided walks are based on Cathy and Jake Jaramillo’s new book Seattle Stairway Walks: An Up-and-Down Guide to City Neighborhoods.  Contact Darcy Edmunds by emailing darcy@feetfirst.org or calling 206-652-2310, ext. 5 because space is limited to 20 people per walk.

FEBRUARY 10,  2pm to 3:30pm — “Celebrate Sundays” at the Fremont Library, 731 N. 35th.   The good news is that the Fremont Library is now open on Sundays from 1 pm to 5 pm.  The celebration will include craft activities for families, light refreshments, and a display of material about Fremont.

JUNE 21 – 23 – The 42nd annual Fremont Street Fair will feature craft and art booths, street performers, local bands, wacky decorated art cars, and a wide variety of delicious food options. There are lots of volunteer opportunities:  www.fremontfair.org.
