FNC just became an official sponsor of Solarize Seattle.
Solarize reports:
After more than 100 people showed up for each of our first two workshops, we’re convinced that NW Seattle is serious about solar. Thus far, nearly 400 of your neighbors have registered to participate in the program, and 10 early birds have already contracted to Solarize their homes. Hundreds more are waiting in the wings.
What have we been up to? Northwest SEED, Seattle City Light, and our wonderful community partners have been hard at work ensuring that no one misses out on the opportunity to Solarize. A few prominent updates:

  1. New community partners have joined our team! Thank you to Wallingford Community Council and Fremont Neighborhood Council for showing your support. For a full list of community partners, see here.
  2. Solarize has garnered some great press in the past month. Check out recent articles in The Seattle Times and Crosscut.
  3. Councilman Mike O’Brien showed his support by helping to install solar panels on the home of our first Solarizers, Peter House and Anne Fitzpatrick. Check out photos on our Facebook page.

… Some ways to spread the word:

  1. Join our volunteer team! We meet biweekly to network and plan fun outreach activities. Coming soon: bike tour of solar homes, solar happy hour at a local pizza joint, and more! Email alex@nwseed.org if you’d like to get involved.
  2. Getting an installation soon? Post photos to the Solarize NW Facebook page.
  3. Forward this email and the registration link to your block’s email list, the parents on your kids’ sports team, or the members of your weekly wine tasting meet-up. See who’s interested!
  4. Want a site assessment? Come to a workshop! Our first two workshops were packed with 100+ attendees each, full of great questions and solar enthusiasm. If you haven’t been able
