Fremont Arts Council shares exciting news:
“We are very pleased to announce that the Fremont Arts Council has been invited to collaborate on
Hello/Goodbye: Viaduct Arts Festival.
In celebration of the future waterfront and tunnel, the Office of the Waterfront and the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture will activate the top deck of Alaskan Way Viaduct with a once in a lifetime arts festival featuring unique performances, activities, and site-specific art installations from over 100 regional artists and organizations.
We are looking for skywriters, jugglers, poi spinners (no fire, sorry!), puppets, costumers, etc… to parade with other citywide arts organizations on February 2 at 12:30 pm. The parade will have a dirge-like beginning and end with a joyous celebration of music and have a theme of Nature.
The FAC is hosting 2 workshops (on 1/26/19 and 1/28/19) for skywriters to create their aerial works for the parade. We are using Sign Up Genius to register for the workshops and to be in the parade. Due to the city’s requirements, we will only be allowed 30 participants- so sign up early!
After we get people to sign up and we have an idea of who and what will be in our group, we will contact you with the logistics (time, location, transportation, etc).

Thanks and look forward to seeing you on the route!!”
